Most carbon vinyls achieve their gloss effect by using a ‘floating laminate'; a sheet of lamination laid over ordinary carbon fiber wrap. When these films are exposed to rain or snow, moisture can seep into the air pockets between the laminate and vinyl, causing the gloss layer to peel off. With VViViD+ Tek R FULL-GLOSS, the vinyl and laminate are bonded in one tough, water-resistant layer that shrugs off bad weather, staying as glossy as the day you installed it.
How did VViViD achieve the super-wet Full-Gloss look, without compromising on durability? That’s a trade secret! But we can tell you that our popular nano air-release adhesive helped, with it’s super-fine air-release pattern that gradually vanishes as the glue cures, leaving your car’s finish as smooth as paint!
